MEMPHIS, Tenn. – – A Memphis gentleman is dealing with serious charges right after a disturbing dwelling theft. Police say 20-calendar year-previous Cameron Tate broke into a North Memphis house on Chelsea Avenue Extended all around 6:30 Saturday evening even though the home owner was asleep. Investigators say he was quick and silent and was able to get in and out with no waking the target.
Police say Tate was armed with a handgun and acquired into the property by hopping a fence and opening a facet doorway that was unlocked. Investigators say he stole an iPad, then ran from the residence whilst an accomplice stood observe in a black SUV parked out entrance.
Police say Tate was caught on security camera. They say the homeowner’s husband recognized a little something was incorrect when he drove up as Tate’s accomplice was driving absent. Regrettably, investigators say that accomplice is someone the victim appreciates from all-around the neighborhood.
