Kristin Smart situation: Police conclude look for of house tied to primary suspect in her disappearance

California sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday concluded their lookup of the property of Ruben Flores, the father of the man who authorities say is the key suspect in the 1996 disappearance of Cal Poly college student Kristin Smart, a day immediately after serving a search warrant at the household. 

“The Sheriff’s Office has concluded its warrant support at the dwelling of Ruben Flores in Arroyo Grande,” the sheriff’s business office reported in a statement. “As with any active investigation, we will not be commenting on what, if any, evidence has been found out. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Workplace reported Monday it was serving a research warrant at Flores’ dwelling in Arroyo Grande – a California coastal town about 80 miles north of Santa Barbara.

Video footage shot by KSBY News showed the mom and dad of Paul Flores – the prime suspect in Kristin Smart’s scenario – independently driving by the lookup location.

Fox Information has reached out to Smart’s spouse and children trying to get comment.

The spouse and children issued a community assertion on Monday saying that they “are encouraged by the information of today’s search of Ruben Flores’ residence.”
