For some homeowners, one of the downsides of life in a big city is the proximity of neighbors. Most people don’t want to peer out their kitchen window into their neighbor’s home. While larger properties are certainly a luxury in Dallas, this home on Park Lane maximizes privacy on a lot less than an acre.

If you want to step outside in your bathrobe, you can certainly do that at 5722 Park Lane.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom and two half-bathroom home has a Texas ranch-style feel, said listing agent Seth Pogoloff of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. It was designed by SHM Architects and built by Brad Ellerman in 2007.

Pogoloff said the home’s design feels like an escape.

“A family could easily live in here and have a vacation home basically in the middle of Dallas,” he said of the home’s private oasis feel.

The sellers bought the home directly from the builder, so this is the first time the property has hit the market. It’s listed for $7,850,000.

The majority of the home is on the first floor, with light-filled rooms that open to the landscaped backyard. Within the home’s 7,998 square feet, you’ll find ample living space and room for entertaining. Its great room offers that indoor-outdoor living feel with a wall of doors that open to the patio. The room has tall, vaulted ceilings and beams across the top that draw the eye upward.

The primary suite and another bedroom with an en suite bathroom share the first floor. The primary suite has vaulted ceilings and a fireplace with space for a sitting area. The primary bathroom has his-and-her closets, dual vanities and a walk-in shower. The remaining three bedrooms and their en suite bathrooms sit on the second floor with a game room.

The kitchen has a center island and plenty of cabinets, with a second storage or food preparation area nearby. The room is open to another living area, and there is a wet bar and a separate wine storage room.

Outside, the backyard is landscaped and surrounded by trees and greenery that offer an extra layer of privacy. Pogoloff said the home owner designed the infinity-edge pool to drown out any sounds of the nearby tollway.
