FAIRFIELD, CT (WFSB) — Speedy performing neighbors are getting credited for preserving several people today from a burning residence overnight.

The fire broke out at a dwelling on Ruane Avenue in Fairfield, around midnight.

Neighbors referred to as 9-1-1 and alerted the sleeping citizens that their residence was on fire.

Extra than 40 firefighters responded to the scene.

Officials said the wind-pushed fire, which achieved a next alarm, then spread to two nearby households.

An aged resident experienced insignificant burns and was taken to the medical center.
