Mildred Grubbs Obituary – Dying Observe and Support Information

Mildred Ruth (Randall) Grubbs, age 89, of Scarborough, died peacefully May 23, 2021 in her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Middletown, Connecticut soon after a prolonged illness.

Mildred was born in South Thomaston, Maine on May possibly 16, 1932 to Milledge and Ruth (Simmons) Randall. She graduated from Rockland Substantial University in Maine. Mildred experienced a solid work ethic. In excess of her lifetime, she labored for Curren Electric powered Offer and bought Sarah Coventry Jewellery. She processed payroll for the retail shop E. J. Korvette and drove a school bus. She labored around two decades as a rural mail provider for the United States Post Business, retiring in 1994. Mildred lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and California, but most of her lifetime and the last 40 yrs, she lived in Maine which she beloved and often regarded as her residence.

Mildred’s favorite places had been her house in Maine, in particular when family members and buddies arrived to stop by. She liked her time on Pleasant Island, Aged Orchard Seashore, planting and caring for her bouquets outdoors on her deck, and wherever Don Campbell was doing. She cherished decorating for Christmas and crammed each achievable area in her property with her decorations, lots of that ended up offered to her by close friends who understood how significantly she loved Xmas. Mildred was established and persistent and insisted on living on her personal as extended as possible.

Mildred is survived by her little ones Dale A. Grubbs of Nobleboro, Maine, W. Darrald Atwood and spouse Theresa of Middlebury, Connecticut, and daughter Dawn Marie O’Reilly and partner Michael of Middletown, Connecticut. Mildred particularly took fantastic pleasure in traveling to with all of her grandchildren. She is survived by 7 grandchildren: Dale A. Grubbs, Jr., Ryan Atwood, Brendan Atwood, Makayla Johansen and partner Austin, William O’Reilly, Nolan O’Reilly, and Jacob O’Reilly eight excellent-grandchildren and six great-good-grandchildren. She had several excellent lifelong close friends, and a particular handful of who aided her to be ready to continue to be, as very long as she did independently, in her household in Maine.

Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 29 Ocean Property Road, Cape Elizabeth followed by a funeral services at 12:00 p.m. Burial get put at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Ocean See Cemetery in South Thomaston, ME.

Mildred’s family is specifically thankful for the Hospice system in Maine and Connecticut who served make it feasible for Mildred to stay out her times at house.
