PHOENIX (3Tv/CBS 5) — Police say an officer shot and killed an unidentified armed person who broke into a woman’s Phoenix household this early morning. It happened in a neighborhood east of 43rd Avenue and Cactus Street about a block away from a police station.

A lady named 911 to report an armed gentleman in her garden at about 11:30 a.m., Sgt. Ann Justus with the Phoenix Police Section claimed about three hours after the taking pictures. When the girl was on the cellular phone with 911, the armed man entered her residence.

As officers surrounded the property, they observed the male, continue to armed, go out into the yard. Justus stated the officers requested the suspect to fall his gun, but he did not.
