
JACKSON, MI – Police are investigating the death of a 19-calendar year-previous girl identified with a fatal gunshot wound early Monday morning at a dwelling in Jackson.
Law enforcement were being referred to as at 4:17 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, to a residence in the 500 block of W. Franklin Street for a report of a woman observed shot inside of the home, Jackson Police Lt. Adam Williams said.
Unexpected emergency crews attempted to revive the girl but ended up unsuccessful and she was pronounced lifeless at the scene.
Criminal offense scene investigators with the Michigan State Police and the Jackson County Healthcare Examiner’s Business office were identified as to the residence to guide and, as of 1 p.m., are nonetheless on scene.
Law enforcement are declining to release any additional data at this time, Williams claimed.
The woman’s identify is not being introduced pending upcoming of kin notification.
