LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) — Law enforcement say a female observed lifeless in a Lakewood home on Tuesday was in all probability strangled. The guy suspected of killing her was arrested Wednesday in Trinidad.

According to the Lakewood Law enforcement Division, about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers had been named to a home in the 2100 block of South Coors Circle on a report of a lacking individual.

“When pals of the home’s resident arrived, they noted finding an adult female deceased inside the household. It seems the sufferer died of strangulation,” LPD explained in a statement.

The victim has been discovered as 45-year-previous Hilary Engel, of Lakewood.

Police determined the suspect as 51-calendar year-old Karl Aaron Bemish.

On Wednesday, authorities tracked Bemish to a hotel in Trinidad, in which local police arrested him.

He is getting held at the Las Animas County Jail on suspicion of committing to start with-diploma murder. He will remain there until he is transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

Lakewood law enforcement said Bemish’s picture is not still accessible.

The investigation is ongoing.
