Erin Hawley, wife of U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri, has submitted a felony complaint versus the organizer of a protest that was staged outside the house the couple’s Virginia household previous month, studies reported Friday.

The organizer has been billed with illegal protesting, a misdemeanor, ABC News noted.

The Republican senator — who was not in the home when the protest occurred — had accused the protesters, who were structured by a group named ShutdownDC, of vandalizing his residence and threatening his spouse and children in the Jan. 4 protest more than his plans to problem the Electoral College or university final results.

Erin Hawley and the couple’s toddler daughter Abigail have been dwelling during the protest, when the senator and the couple’s two sons had been back in Missouri, the Kansas City (Mo.) Star noted.

But officers from ShutdownDC downplayed studies of Erin Hawley’s complaint.
