Hearth section: Crystal ball begun hearth in Wisconsin home

LAKE DELTON, Wis. — A glass “crystal ball” decoration positioned in a sunny spot led to a household hearth, the Delton Fireplace Division mentioned.

When crews investigated, they reported they located the lead to of the hearth: a glass “crystal ball” on a desk near a sofa. The fireplace office said when sunlight shone by the home windows and instantly by the ball, it ignited the sofa.
