Family’s property ruined in fire in north Cape Coral, none wounded


Cape Coral Fire Department states a family’s home was wrecked in a fire in north Cape Coral Thursday night.

Firefighters and law enforcement have been in the 400 block of NE 24th Avenue responding to a residence hearth. The scene was south of the intersection with Pondella Street and NE 25th Ave.

CCFD confirmed a mother and two boys had been inside of the residence, who all obtained out properly. The mom informed us they also have a cat that designed it out Okay.

Various neighbors say they read an explosion and noticed flames from the house.

“All of a unexpected, my stepson, Aiden, he started off screaming,” neighbor Jose Perez explained. “So I questioned him why was he screaming, and he explained to me the house throughout the road is on fire.”

Crews have not determined how the hearth started off, but neighbors say they consider it begun in the garage of the home.

McCartney states the flames had been so large, he feared his dwelling would go up in flames following.
