Duquesne’s home opener Tuesday night is not at home

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Still not at their home court due to construction delays, Duquesne is at a temporary home not far from campus for the first time on Tuesday.

It’s the home opener for the 2-2 Dukes against 5-4 Davidson at 7p at the Kerr Fitness Center on the LaRoche University campus in McCandless.  Fans are not permitted to attend, but you can watch the game on the CBS Sports Network.

A strange year for Duquesne as much as any basketball program playing two games early, then a month off due to coronavirus issues, and now will play for the third time in four days on Tuesday.  During the time between, there was little practice time because of positive tests.  They went from December 3 until the day after Christmas, without a full team practice.

Davidson is playing for only the second time on the road and a first game in six days.  Wildcats head coach Bob McKillop is a win shy of 600 in his career.

Dukes split games over the weekend at George Washington.  After winning the game on Saturday, they lost on Sunday on a 3-pointer with 13 seconds left.  Senior Marcus Weathers had 19 points and 12 rebounds.  Maceo Austin with 11 points and Sincere Carry had an eight pack—8 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

Duquesne scheduled to host Fordham at 2p at LaRoche on Saturday.  As of this point, fans now allowed for that game either.
