Dorothy Jean Thomas, 86 of Solid, AR passed absent Saturday, Might 22, 2021 at the John R. Williamson Hospice Home in El Dorado. Dorothy was born September 13, 1934 in McArthur, AR to the late Eva Estelle Williams Doss Reid and Arthur Dimp Doss. Dorothy graduated from McGehee Significant College in McGehee, AR. She attended the Western Union Teaching University in Oklahoma Town, Alright, and was assigned to the Western Union business office in El Dorado. She worked as a clerk, cashier and relief manager for 13 several years. She commenced performing as a substitute teacher for Solid school district even though her women have been in faculty and finally labored whole time as a teacher’s aide and then as study corridor instructor. She labored for the district 13 years.

She place up several jars of pickles and processed tubs of produce that Will grew in the backyard. Just one of her hobbies was sewing and she built quite a few outfits for her two ladies. She also appreciated all forms of other crafting hobbies. At a single time, she held the lobby at Simmons Bank in Robust seasonally adorned. She was also included in the decorations at the Very first Baptist Church in Robust, particularly for the month-to-month Ageless Wonders accumulating. Survivors include things like two daughters, Jean Dumas and partner Joe of Tulsa, Alright, and Patricia Steele and partner Scott of Asheville, NC 1 granddaughter, Sydney Steele of Greenville, SC four siblings, Bob Doss and wife Brenda of Calgary, Alberta, Canada Barbara Knapp and husband Pete of Lake Village, AR Lavaun Smith and partner Tinker of McGehee, AR and Sue Russell and spouse Steve of Strong. Dorothy is also survived by a lot of nieces, nephews, excellent nieces and excellent nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. right up until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Could 26, 2021 at Bailey Funeral Dwelling in El Dorado. Graveside companies will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May perhaps 27, 2021 at Powerful Cemetery, Solid, AR with Bro. Jason Martin and Bro. Rusty Condry officiating.
