Bomb squad investigating death at Sterling Heights home

(WWJ) Michigan State Police are investigating a potential death at a Sterling Heights home that may be tied to a pipe bomb.

The Michigan State Police Bomb Squad is enroute to a home on Mound Road south of 15 Mile as of 6 p.m. Friday.

Police say they got a call out to the home to a report of a dead body.  Officers found a man in his 30’s who had died.

The death did not appear to be suspicious, but officers spotted what appeared to be a pipe bomb in the home. The 2 right lines of Mound south of 15 Mile are blocked off for the time being.
