Washington County deputies responded to a household in the city of Kewaskum all-around 2:50 p.m. right after a 911 caller claimed that a suspect had forced his way into their home demanding keys to a vehicle.

A next 911 call was positioned around 2:56 p.m. from a neighbor who described listening to gunshots and observing an armed matter strolling towards the caller’s property.

Authorities say upon arrival, deputies exchanged gunfire with the suspect, who then fled on foot.
