Collecting villagers is an important part of building a town in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Villagers each have specific personalities, senses of style, and unique appearances. While some of these villagers are brightly colored, like Julian the unicorn or Judy the bear cub, others are sleek and stylish, like Raymond the cat. However, there are many Animal Crossing villagers who are just average. These villagers have simple designs and bland personalities that can make them less appealing to invite home. Unfortunately, Deena the duck in Animal Crossing: New Horizons may be one of these options.

Deena has a Normal personality type. This is the most common personality found only in female Animal Crossing villagers. These villagers are usually kind and easygoing, but often have self-esteem issues and speak poorly of themselves. They also tend to be obsessed with cleanliness. Normal villagers get along well with every other personality, making them a nice addition to the community if there are several Smug or Lazy villagers living in the town.

According to villager prices on Nookazon, Deena falls somewhere in the middle of the most and least desirable Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers. Currently, players can purchase the ability to invite her to their island for 190,000 Bells. While Deena isn’t as unpopular as Animal Crossing villagers like Clyde the horse, it is unlikely she will ever soar to the popularity enjoyed by some of the most well-liked Animal Crossing villagers in New Horizons, like Marshall or Raymond.

Deena & Other AC Villagers Have Changed Over Different Games

When it comes to appearances, Deena isn’t the most appealing choice. The tiny duck has a sour, olive green color with large pink cheeks, along with brown hair and beady black eyes. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, her outfit choice is a blue overall dress, with a red and white striped t-shirt underneath. Deena’s personal goal is to become an illustrator, but this is contradicted by her home decorations, which in New Horizons are music-themed. She has a grand piano, cello, and marimba as the primary focal points of her house, none of which indicate her desire to draw.

Deena’s character in Animal Crossing has changed throughout each game she has appeared in. Her original home design focused heavily on workout equipment and gave her an almost Jock-like appearance. However, to better fit her softer personality, New Leaf and New Horizons changed Deena’s overall look and decoration preferences. While she may not be the prettiest Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager, she could be a good pick for those who need a villager with a less extreme personality.
